Non-GMO stands for "non-genetically modified organisms," meaning these oils are produced from crops that have not been genetically altered.

Organic oils come from crops that are grown and processed according to organic farming practices. These practices emphasize sustainability, environmental protection, and the avoidance of synthetic chemicals.

While both non-GMO and organic oils avoid genetically modified crops, they differ in their production and certification standards.

Non-GMO and organic oils can be used in a variety of culinary applications, including cooking, baking, and salad dressings. They often have distinct flavors and nutritional profiles. For example, organic extra virgin olive oil is known for its robust flavor and high antioxidant content, while organic coconut oil is praised for its versatility.

Columbus is proud to be certified Organic by the USDA and Non-GMO Project, which verifies that the oil's ingredients do not come from genetically modified crops. This certification process involves rigorous testing and auditing to ensure compliance.
